Truffle Hunt Terms and Conditions

1. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Tickets are non-refundable, but fully transferable to another date (subject to availability) if you let us know at least 7 days in advance.

  • In the unlikely event we need to cancel or postpone a hunt (e.g. extreme weather), you’ll be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

2. Minimum Numbers

  • Each hunt must have at least 4  participants booked for it to proceed. If we need to cancel for low numbers, you’ll be notified 5 days out and offered a new date or full refund.

3. Health & Safety

  • By attending, you acknowledge that truffle hunting involves uneven ground and outdoor conditions—please follow our team’s instructions at all times.

  • You must be wearing sensible footwear; we recommend gumboots or sturdy boots.

4. Photography & Social Media

  • We love capturing the fun! By taking part, you consent to photos and short video clips of you being used in our marketing (social media, website, newsletters).
  • If you’d prefer not to appear in any media, just let our team know on arrival.

5. Liability Waiver

  • You participate at your own risk. Bay of Plenty Eats and Trufflewood Farm accept no liability for personal injury, loss or damage to personal items during the event, unless caused by proven negligence on our part.

6. Age Restrictions

  • Guests must be 12 years or older to join (under-16s must be accompanied by a paying adult).

7. Weather & Conditions

  • We will run the hunt rain or shine (with umbrellas provided), unless safety is compromised. In the event of severe weather we may reschedule.

8. Truffle Purchases

  • Fresh truffle sales on the day are subject to availability. We recommend bringing cash, though card and bank-transfer options are also available.

9. Privacy

  • Any personal information you provide (dietary requirements, contact details) is used solely to deliver and improve your experience. We will never share it with third parties beyond our farm and ticketing partners.

10. Code of Conduct

  • Please respect the farm, the dog handler, fellow hunters and the environment. Any disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the experience without refund.
